Changes For The Good!

Ok, so it’s a soft market and that means that everyone needs to do everything they can to write business, right?   Well, the same goes for Statewide.   So, we’ve opened up our Preferred Commercial Market to include the ability to write MONO-LINE business!   See, normally we only write package-type business in our Standard/Preferred Commercial Market, but now we’ve expanded it to allow mono-line business!   That includes mono-line AUTO as well!   To top it all off, we now only require 2 years loss runs in our self-rating (The Rapid Rater) program.   Statewide Preferred can also write employee benefits as part of your quote.   Just ask and you shall receive.   Got questions?   Ask Bobbie Taylor (x933) or any other available underwriter.   We’re very serious about writing your preferred business and YES we can compete with most of the same BIG GUYS you’re up against.   Have no fear, Statewide is here and ready to sharpen our pencil to get that risk.  Give us a try, won’t you?   (All States)

Want To Know A Secret??

We’re often asked, what’s hot right now?   Good question.   We have a good answer, too!   VACANCIES. Vacant Land, Vacant Commercial Buildings, Vacant Homes, you name it.   If it’s empty, we WANT it!   Short-term policy needed?   No problem!   We can write a 3-month, 6-month, 9-month or annual policy.   AND if the insured’s policy expires after the given term, we’ll happily write the renewal!   Isn’t that refreshing?   Want more?   Ok, we can also write those vacancies that are being renovated or under what we call “course of construction.”   Not a problem!   We’ve also been comparing our rates to others and have found out that our V&MM (vandalism and malicious mischief) is considered one of the lowest rates out there.   Some companies don’t offer it, and we’re practically GIVING it away.   The company writing our vacancy risks has just lowered its premium and raised its commissions, too!   Can life get any better?   If you’re looking for something different to chase, call your banking, realty and mortgage friends and let them know you’re the agent that can handle all their vacancy needs.   Simply call Dan Braude (x944) for your vacant commercial quotes and Kyle Hammontree (x940) for your vacant homeowner risks.   There, the secret’s out!   (All States)

There are three kinds of people:   Those who can count and those who can't.

How’s the Homeowner Market?

Well, now that the dust has settled it seems that the Homeowner Market has begun to show signs of picking up.   We know this because our HO3 writings have increased and agents love the fact that they only have to answer 6 simple questions to get a competitive quote.   That, coupled with the fact that they can choose from a variety of products to suit their needs, makes our Homeowner Program one of the best in the industry.   Yes, you can choose from an HO3, HO2, HO6, HO8, DP1 and DP3 policy just with the click of a button.   Since we’re not running a CREDIT SCORE or looking into a CLUE REPORT, there’s no reason not to write each and every homeowner risk that walks in your door.   We’ll even PAY you for your efforts in CASH!   $5 for every HO3 you write with us makes this well worth your time.   Don’t have a user ID or password yet?   Simple, just call Kyle Hammontree (x940), our personal lines guru, and he’ll get you set up in no time.   You can’t afford not to give this program a try.   We promise, you’ll be very, very pleased.   (All States)

The “Red Balloon”

Many of you haven’t noticed this yet and we think it’s special enough to mention here.   We have a new feature that allows you to quote and compare ALL of our Artisan Contractors Markets in one click of a button.   It’s called “The Red Balloon” and it’s located at the top of the page in our Artisan Contractors section of our web page.   Go to the Artisan page, look toward the top of the page and you’ll see our Rapid Rater logo with a Red Balloon next to it.   Click on the Red Balloon and answer 11 very simple questions and “Ta-da!”   It’s a comparative rater we’ve ingeniously called our “Computator.”  Yes, we know that’s not a word, but special features like this call for special names.   The “Computator” will let you quote all of our companies writing that particular class of business and give you a quick “snippit” of what the difference is between each of our companies.   No more guessing which company is best, let the “Computator” do the work for you!   It’s one more thing we’re doing to make your job as an insurance agent easier.   Go to our website, www.statewide-insurance.com and see it for yourself.   (All States)

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Do The CONDO!

No, it’s not the line dance; it’s the Homeowner Product that is taking the southwest by storm!   This HO6 is loaded with features that are sure to please.   No Credit Scoring, No Clue Reporting and Seasonal or Secondary Homes are OK!   Owner occupied, corporate owned or tenant occupied, any way you slice it, we can accommodate values from $50,000 to $500,000.   Protection classes 1-10 and replacement cost make this HO6 a must-have in your office.   We affectionately call it our “Cobalt Program.”   It’s also available on our homeowner rating system, making it even easier to use.   The rates?  Incredible!!  We’re shouting this one from the rooftops.   It’s a winner in every way.   Call Kyle Hammontree (x940) and let him show you the way or set you up with a user ID and password so you can start making money today!   Tell him you read about it in this newsletter.   (All States)

More Conventions!

Just a reminder, our marketing man, Dave Ranes will be at the New Mexico IIANM convention October 1-3, at The Sandia Resort & Casino.   He’ll also be attending the Agents Alliance Convention September 17th in Scottsdale and the IIAAZ convention September 18th and 19th in Phoenix.   It’s a busy convention schedule for sure, but Dave LOVES seeing and visiting with all of his Statewide Agencies and invites all of you out to attend.   He’ll have goodies to give away and a couple of awesome door prizes to boot!   If you need additional information for any of the conventions mentioned above, give Dave a call and he’ll get you the specifics.   Until then, he looks forward to seeing all of you!   He’s even planning on having a majority of the staff here at Statewide attend the Arizona convention!   Come meet your favorite underwriter and let’s make a party of it.   (AZ, NM)

My wife said if I want breakfast in bed, I need to sleep in the kitchen.

Inland Marine, Anyone?

What is Inland Marine coverage anyways??   Good question.   A good example would be equipment used by a contractor and/or his employees such as excavators, lifts, bulldozers, backhoes and loaders.   Also, we provide Bailee’s Coverage for items that have been placed in the temporary care, custody or control of the insured.   (Businesses like Dry Cleaners, Machine Shops or Appliance Repair Operations.)   We will also write Installation Floaters for installation of products at a jobsite.   Need a Miscellaneous Property Floater?   Got it.   This would be for things like inflatables, mobile equipment, temporary sales booths and portable food service units.   Hand tools and trailers need to be submitted, of course.   The skinny on all this is that our $350 minimum premium and the easy self-rater or Rapid Rater that we’ve created to quote all of this, makes it EASY to write Inland Marine products.   There’s no reason you should ever have to turn it away.   Call any one of our underwriters for more information or just go to our web page and quote it yourself!   (All States)
